Courier Outreach Ministries distributes weekly inspirational messages like the one pictured on the right to homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries. Participating community agencies and churches now have a resource to help bring God's message to those currently not reached by formal church worship services. The Courier Outreach Ministries program distributes non-denominational messages in English and Spanish. The couriers are delivered weekly at no cost to participating churches, food pantries, soup kitchens, and outreach ministries who will distribute the couriers to the persons they serve. The Courier program is currently focused on the hungry, and the homeless who are served by church and community soup kitchens and food pantries. As resources permit, the program will be expanded to reach prisoners, long-term hospital patients, the disabled and home-bound and members of the armed forces. To help reach these individuals with God's message, Courier Outreach Ministries is developing, producing, and delivering at no cost, a special weekly non-denominational message of hope, printed on bookmark sized slips of heavy colored stock. The message are printed in English on one side and Spanish on the reverse side. Each week different colored Couriers containing a new message are delivered to partnering churches and agencies who will in turn develop the most effective methods to deliver them to the people they serve. The hungry and homeless being served by partner agencies usually do not attend formal worship services or have access to media produced religious programs of any kind. These Courier slips help fill this void and bring a measure of hope to these individuals and families, many of whom are living in the most difficult conditions.
